Arctic Sirens Cabaret raising funds for Big Brothers/ Big Sisters!
The Arctic Siren next Cabaret is shaping up to be a Don’t Miss Event. Arctic Siren’s relaxed, convivial atmosphere combined with great live music is a hit with the attendees and Arctic Siren is looking at a hugely talented roster in the new year. The next show is on Friday, April 12th and will feature Laura Albright, Meg Anderson, Jenny Baker, Dawn Berg and Suzy Hambach. All performers will be backed by the Kevin Barnett Trio. This show is a benefit for Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
All shows are at the Snow Goose Theater. Doors open at 6:45. Show starts at 7:30. Full menu and bar service available throughout the evening. Tickets are $15. For more information call 245-7311.

Celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day with The Derry Aires and Friends
The Irish High Holy Days can be celebrated in style with The Derry Aires and Friends in concert on March 16th at the Snow Goose Theater. The evening starts at 7 PM and will feature award winning dancers from The Irish Dance Academy and the Northern Lights Celtic Dancers, Soloists Dawn Berg, Beth Margeson, Terri McCoy and Destany Hawley, the Band Wings to Fly and the award winning ensemble The Derry Aires.
Originally a trio, Originally a trio, this cult phenomenon has become an amorphous performance ensemble that expands to quintet status whenever they can. Members Terri Mayeur, Robin Basset, Erin Ingle, Nancy Steely, and Peggy Monaghan bring a huge diversity of styles to their recordings and shows. Wings to Fly features Shonti Elder, Karl Wilhelmi, and Ben Saylor and is a favorite on many Alaska Festival stages.

The opening show of the seventh season was a rollicking great salute to Broadway. Arctic Siren’s relaxed, convivial atmosphere combined with great live music is a hit with the attendees and Arctic Siren is looking at a hugely talented roster for the new season. The next show is on Friday, October 12th and will feature Dawn Berg, Sheena Kaighan, Sarah Sledge, Dana Spinney, Peggy Monaghan and some sure to be memorable songs from the Kevin Barnett Trio, who will be backing the singers. This show is a benefit for KNBA 90.3.

Three of the premier Celtic Harpers in the world will be appearing at the Snow Goose Theater on October 6th, 2012 at 7:30. Patrick Ball, Lisa Lynne and Aryeh Frankfurter will take you deep into the myths, magic and fabled history of this most captivating instrument.
Patrick Ball one of the premier Celtic harp players in the world and a captivating spoken word artist. He has recorded nine instrumental and three spoken word albums which have sold well over a half million copies internationally. Patrick’s critically acclaimed concerts and solo theatrical productions have toured extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Ireland and the UK. Lisa Lynne is a multi-instrumentalist and performer who has gained worldwide recognition for her original music featuring her Celtic Harp. She is widely acclaimed for composing memorable and heartwarming melodies on the Windham Hiill/Sony music labels that have repeatedly placed in the Top 10 & Top 20 on the Billboard New age music charts. Her work in Therapeutic music has gained recognition from NBC, CNN, Fox News Atlanta and numerous newspaper and magazine articles including Wall Street Journal. Aryeh Frankfurter plays Swedish nyckelharpa, Cittern and Celtic harp.
Aryeh is also a renowned Celtic harper and world traveling multi-instrumentalist who went from virtuosic progressive rock violin to intricate Swedish folk and Celtic Music. Aryeh taught himself to play a variety of instruments bowed and plucked and most recently the rarely seen Swedish Nyckelharpa. The Kevin Barnett Trio will be backing the singers. This show is a benefit for The Alaska Fine Arts Academy.
